you’d base a website off some “hater shit” because it’s widely recognized that the erudite and aggressive style that pitchfork reviewers maintain not only mock the artist at times, but piss off fans. pitchfork is so well known for this, the Onion even tipped their hats to the bullshitting they perpetuate by writing an article titled “pitchfork gives music 6.8″ which is as well written a satire as I’ve seen in an attempt to bring the pitchfork staff back to earth. btw, how did you wind up here anyways? just looking to hate some haters?

I also cast my lot for the bullshit hypothesis. Perhaps the lad was offered the choice between writing a minimum of 500 words or hanging from a precipice upon Thangorodrim. Whole lot of nothing in this one.

This review wasn’t just poorly written, it was poor analysis. Patrin didn’t think he had enough to write so he pretended like it was some great insight that the original track was included on the remix album. 60 confusing words to tell us something obvious. I also think he’s wrong when it comes to the Yorke remix. It’s clear that he prefers the Jarel remix. Incredibly, so did I, and you don’t find many Yorke junkies like me. But I think he puts down the Yorke mix just to have something to say. If he had listened less selfishly he would have realized that the Yorke mix gives texture to the EP and makes it more enjoyable to listen to the whole way through. If Patrin wants to listen to DOOM say the same thing the same way over and over without interruption then he can just put the original track on repeat. I think he’s bullshitting us.
